Figure Skating
Synchronized Skating 2011/2012 Season This class is for skaters who have passed US Figure Skating Basic 5 or equivalent. The class will work on skills from Basic 6 through Freestyle 1 using Synchronized Skating as a teaching tool. This is a fun way to work on your skating skills while learning how to work with a team and put it all to music. The class runs for an entire season (fall and spring).
Saturdays
9:30 - 10:30 am
September 17 - November 19 (10 weeks)
December 3 & 10 (2 weeks)
January 14 - March 10 (10 weeks)
This class can take a maximum of 20 skaters, priority will be given to returning Kids On Ice® participants who have had a good attendance record, then skaters who have participated in other Fort Dupont programs, and then new skaters.
Advanced Figure Skating
For skaters who are actively pursuing testing (MIF) and competing in figure skating, are members of a local Figure Skating Club, and skate regularly. This class is not held on a regular weekly schedule, rather there will be several "clinics" throughout the season.
Please check back regularly for more information on the next AFS clinic.
Note: These clinics are for skaters who participate in KOI programs year-round. Though we welcome new skaters, acceptance into the class is solely at the discretion of the program manager.
