Learn to Skate

Fort Dupont Ice Arena offers group skating classes to area youth, ages 5-18 (kindergarten to twelfth grade), through its Kids On Ice® program. Kids On Ice is a free, community program whose mission is to make skating accessible and affordable for Washington-area children.

Children are accepted into the program on a “first come, first served” basis. Priority is given to returning students (returning is defined as a skater who has had regular attendance in a class during the last calendar year).

Registration is closed for Winter Learn To Skate 2012.

 Registration will be open through December 30th and classes will begin January 14th, 2012. All classes are on Saturdays. Registration confirmations will be sent via mail.

Enrollment in the Speed Skating, Hockey, and Synchronized Skating programs are currently space permitting.
 

How to participate, please read carefully:

• Wear winter clothes – long pants, long socks, long sleeves and gloves are MANDATORY. Skaters will be turned away if they are not dressed properly.
• Skaters must be 5 years old – absolutely no exceptions.
