KOI Speed Skaters Compete At SportsQuest Speed Skating Competition

On Sunday, August 9^th, several skaters from the Kids On Ice Speed Skating class participated in the 2009 SportsQuest Short Track Speed Skating Competition. This speed meet was hosted by the Virginia Speedskating Club at Skate Nation Plus in Richmond, VA. Congratulations to all of the skaters and we wish them well as they continue to pursue their skating goals.

Maame Biney competed in the Pony Ladies category and won first place in the 333 Meters final and the 500 Meters final. John Paul Diaz competed in the Pee Wee Men category and won first place in the 222 Meters final, second place in the 333 Meters final, and third place in the 500 Super Meters final. Meghan O’Melia competed in the Juvenile Men category and placed eighth in the 500 Meters final and the 1000 Meters final. Sarah Rhim competed in the Pony Ladies category and won second place in the 333 Meters final and the 500 Meters final. Brian Rhim competed in the Pee Wee Men category and won third place in the 222 Meters final and 333 Meters final, and second place in the 500 Super Meters final. Andy Kim competed in the Midget Men category and placed fourth in the 500 Meters final and the 777 Meters final.
