Volunteers: During the school year, many of the area DC Public Schools skate at Fort Dupont Ice Arena as part of our Kids On Ice/Schools Skate for Fitness program. In the summer, many of the area summer camps participate in our Kids On Ice/Camps Skate For Fitness program. We are always in need of adult volunteers to assist with skate tying and other off-ice activities. Both school groups and summer camps skate on weekdays, in 2-hour time slots, so you must be available on weekdays. The schools skate between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, and the camps generally skate between 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm. Volunteers do not need to be able to skate. If you do know how to skate, you can assist the professional instructor on-ice and help ensure that students skate safely. If you would like to volunteer call Dolly Davis at 202-584-5007 or email .
If you would like to donate any of the items or volunteer, please contact Dolly Davis at 202-584-5007, ext. 11, or email.
