Fort Dupont Ice Arena provides a youth instructional speed skating class. We do not currently have our own speed skating club.
Learn To Speed Skate - Summer 2010 Session
Our Learn To Speed Skate class is a part of the Kids On Ice program.To learn more about Kids On Ice click here. Although this is an instructional speed skating class, students are provided opportunities to compete in local speed meets.
Speed Skating Class
Saturdays, July 10th - August 14th (6weeks)
7:30-8:50am
For ages 5 - 18.
There is a $30 fee for this class
This program takes skaters from beginning speed skating skills through elite levels. It is recommended that students already have basic skating skills before enrolling (forward and backward skating, ability to stop). Registration forms will be available at the rink beginning April 1. The registration deadline is first day of class, Saturday, July 10th. Depending on class size, registrations may be accepted after the deadline at the discretion of the Skating Directors and coaches.
