Fall 2010 Kids On Ice® Learn To Skate

September 18-November 6 (8 week session)
Saturdays: 10:50-11:15 am, 12:30-12:55 pm or 12:55-1:20 pm

Fort Dupont Ice Arena offers group skating classes to area youth, ages 5-18 (kindergarten to twelfth grade), through its Kids On Ice® program. Kids On Ice is a free, community program whose mission is to make skating accessible and affordable for Washington-area children. Children are accepted into the program on a “first come, first served” basis. Priority is given to returning students (returning is defined as a skater who has had regular attendance in a class during the last calendar year) who submit their registration by the deadline.

Returning student and family registration is now open, click here to register online!

New families must attend an orientation before they can register for their first Learn to Skate class.  There are still spaces available for the fall.  The final orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 24 at 7:00 pm at Fort Dupont.  Families will hear information about the program and will have the opportunity to register while they are here.

 Test Results from Winter 2010

Congratulations Winter 2010 Kids On Ice, Learn-to-Skate Students!

Click Here for a list of all skaters who passed the evaluation for their learn-to-skate level during the Winter 2010 session. All of the skaters worked hard and showed great progress and we are proud of all of them! If your skater’s name is not on this list that means they still have some elements of their level that they need to work on – if you want to know what those are just give me a call. Remember, take advantage of those free public skates, practice makes perfect!
